Choosing Your VA Services 🦄

The first thing to do when starting work as a virtual assistant is a skills assessment to work out the services you can offer.

Download the resource guide below - 250 services you can offer as a virtual assistant and go through the list.

First note services you already have the skills for and you could start doing today. These skills you may have from past experience with a job OR through hobbies, church, community groups etc.

Then note services you don't YET know how to do, but would like to know. These could be things you really love and are keen to learn more about.

Then download your worksheet and write down 5 things you can already do and 5 things you would like to do and rate them according to your skill level.

PLEASE NOTE there is ZERO judgement from us about how good you are at a skill - this is a chance for you to be honest with yourself. We are here to help you work out which services to offer and give a way for you to self assess your skill level.

Now if you don’t have access to print this out, don’t worry – you can use the sheet to get your information, then just write down your answers on a piece of paper or type it into notes on your phone.

HOW MUCH CAN YOU EARN?

To give you an approximate idea of how much you can earn, as a general virtual assistant with low-medium level skills in a few areas, you could earn around $3-$7 USD per hour, depending on the work and your skills.

However, if you pay attention to learning and ideally specialising in one particular area, that is where you can start earning more - especially as your experience grows.

Specialist virtual assistants can earn approx $7-$15 USD per hour or more if you're very highly skilled.

If you’re short on skills right now and can't find anything on the list you can do, find 2-3 things on the list you’d like to learn that are fairly simple, get a skillshare membership or find YouTube videos and get learning right now!

I have a mantra of embracing lifelong learning. If you want to become a very well paid virtual assistant, I suggest you become a lifelong learner too :)
