🙌 VA Challenge Day 2 🙌

Making your personal Facebook page work friendly

VA Work Friendly FB Profiles 🦄

The strategy we are going to use this week to get your first VA jobs is a Facebook strategy, so to make it work as well as possible for you, today it is profile clean up time.

When you post on Facebook and potential clients see your posts, the first thing they will do is go and check your personal profile.

So it is a very good idea to make your profile as clean and friendly as possible for these potential clients.

First step is to make your profile private. This mean someone visiting your profile won't see what you are posting for your friends and family - so you can keep your private life private 😊

Please note - this is not compulsory to do this to get work as a VA or Freelancer - just a recommendation.

To make your profile private just go to your FB profile and go to the settings.

From there go to privacy.

Make sure it is set to posts visible "friends" not "public. That will ensure all your friends still see all your posts.

You may have the option to "limit past posts" and change that to private. I recommend this option as well.

Again, this is not something you MUST do, just a recommendation to make your profile more professional and pleasing to a potential client.

We've created a quick guide to show you where to find the settings.

It is also a good idea to update your intro or bio and add a way for potential clients or employers to contact you.

If you have a Facebook page for your virtual assistant business or a website, this is where you should add that, so visitors to your page, can follow the links to your website and get more information about what you do.

You don't need to do that at this point, as you can do something much more simple to get started.

Edit your intro or bio to include information that you're a virtual assistant and how to contact you.

For example:

Tech Virtual Assistant, available for hire. email: [email protected]

or

Offering social media virtual assistance email me [email protected]

etc

There is a limit to how many characters you can put in this space, so keep it brief and to the point.

Today is a simple, but important task, to prepare for the work we will do tomorrow and the rest of the week. We want you to be set up in the best way possible to get virtual assistant clients!

See you tomorrow!
